Assistant Director of Admissions Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Southern Illinois University (SIUE) and the Office of Admissions invite applications for Assistant Director of Admissions for New Student and Campus Visit Programs.
The Assistant Director works with the Director and other staff members, as well as individuals throughout the entire university community, to provide quality transition programs to SIUE's newest students.
This individual will be responsible for coordinating Springboard to Success, the freshman registration program servicing all new freshmen; e-Tracs, an online orientation for all new transfer students; Transfer mation, the transfer on-campus orientation program designed for entering transfer students; and New Freshman Welcome and Convocation, the mandatory orientation program for all new freshmen.
Job RequirementsThe qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s degree, Master's degree is preferred; at least two years work experience in a college/university setting admissions preferred,including understanding new student programming and related functions; use and understanding of computerized student information systems; management experience within a college/university setting, and the ability to supervise and work with other individuals; excellent organizational skills; Excellent oral and written communication; excellent interpersonal skills to accurately assist and work with various individuals within the community; ability to independently develop and organize data and reports that address management issues.
